Master Douglas Arnold started self defense much earlier than most students as you can see from his picture at left. Currently he teaches in Visalia, California ad is the YOM CHI California State Technical Director. Master Arnold started training in TaeKwon-Do in 1979 under newly promoted 4th Degree Black Belt Water L. Lang at the University of Colorado. Two years later he became the Colorado State Red Belt champion. Three years later he became the head instructor of the Denver Central Y.M.C.A. TaeKwon-Do class.

For the next ten years Master Arnold competed throughout the United States, and on four U.S.A. teams earning Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in International Competition. Master Arnold was the Men's team captain for the U.S.A. team in Malaysia. |

Master Arnold is an International Umpire and YOM CHI Referee Instructor earning the award of top Referee in 2004 at the World Championships in Daejion, South Korea Master Arnold was promoted, with high test score, for third degree black belt under General Choi in 1988, for sixth degree under Master Choi in 2001, and was promoted to seventh - in 2008 and eighth degree - in 2015 by Grand Master Walter Lang. |

For the past ten years Master Arnold has taught the National Patterns Seminar for the YOM CHI TaeKwon-Do Association, Camps across the United States, Rape prevention courses, and has currently started YOM CHI in California. |
