WE DID IT!!!

I'm excited to say that 17 people reached the summit on Mt. Evans in support of the Colorado54.org for clean water and raised over $400 for the cause! YOM CHI, Trinity, and Boulder TaeKwon-Do represented what we do and stand for in model fashion! It was an incredible day with amazing people; I'm very fortunate to be counted among them.

In TaeKwon-Do we often recite the Tenants, Student Oath, and expound about Moral Culture. However, on the mountain, we were able to live all of the above. That, in the end, is what this is all about!

I would like to share one story from our adventure yesterday. While, collectively, we were able to summit with many people (for many it was their first 14er and a milstone all its own) one gentleman stood out as to remind me of the true meaning of perseverance and how to live th tenants. Mr. Vickers has Cerbral Palsy and set himself a goal: to climb a 14er. I won't lie, I had my doubts after looking at our route. Well, it took 5 hours, several liters of water, a pair of gloves, an iron will, and a 2000 ft. elevation gain: he di it! This is what it's all about: the man lived an example of perseverance. An act I will selfishly say, "Thank you sir!" It's a reminder and inspiration for me. YOU DA MAN!

Much love to all the support staff and ground crew who made this event happen! (You know who you are)

A huge shout out to Master Jonas Pologe, Master Charles Avila, and Ryan Festag as well! Truly a group of gentleman.
